MONROE, Mich.-Domino’s Pizza executive Michael T. Lawton has been nominated to serve a one-year term on the board of directors of La-Z-Boy.
The company’s shareholders will vote on Lawton, along with the re-election of the 10 current directors, at La-Z-Boy’s annual meeting, scheduled to be held here on Aug. 21. He joined Domino’s in 1999 and has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer since 2010. Prior to his Domino’s career, Lawton was senior vice president and chief operating officer of Gerber Products.
Kurt Darrow, La-Z-Boy’s chairman, president and CEO, cited Lawton as “a high-caliber, well-seasoned financial executive with a wealth of consumer, retail and international experience that will translate well to our business.”
