TULSA, Okla.–Imax has signed a licensing agreement with interior and fashion accessory designer Nikki Chu, and the initial line of furniture and home accessories will launch at the summer markets.
Chu’s first collection focuses on metallics, accented with black and white. Metallic shades and finishes are mixed, with gold, silver, copper and bronze pieces featured together in a combination of matte, shiny and ombré finishes. Some details come directly from Chu’s passion for high fashion, such as classic designer quilting techniques, pyramid studs and chain accents.
“We are extremely excited about our newest collaboration—Nikki fuses her design talents and extensive industry experience with an obsession for fashion to create an ‘affordable luxury lifestyle’ collection unique to Imax,” said Rex Yoakley, vice president of sales for Imax.
Born and raised in Toronto, Chu creates environments that are sleek and serene, with touches of glamour. She has appeared as a lifestyle and design expert on such TV networks as HGTV, Fine Living, Food Network and E!
