RIDGEWOOD, N.J.–Craftmaster Furniture and Hickory Springs have presented a sectional sofa and a loveseat featuring Hickory Springs’ EarthCare Inside components to Sara’s Pre-school, the winner of the 2011 EarthCare Challenge, located here.

The school was the winner among five schools around the country, which competed in a national social-media competition this spring. The schools submitted dates, photos and videos that showed their “green” efforts in their schools and communities. Sara’s Pre-school developed a month-long curriculum to introduce kindergarten enrichment students to environmental awareness, which included recycling, planting vegetables and creating books with their newly acquired knowledge of environmentally friendly practices.
In addition to the furniture, the school received $1,000 from Hickory Springs to help fund future environmental learning programs.
