Bacon Named La-Z-Boy Chief Retail Officer

MONROE, Mich.–La-Z-Boy has appointed Mark S. Bacon as its chief retail officer.
The move gives Bacon overall responsibility for sales, store operations, training and merchandising within the furniture manufacturer’s retail segment. He reports directly to Kurt L. Darrow, president and chief executive officer. Bacon succeeds Mark Wiltshire, who held the title of president of La-Z-Boy’s retail segment, and who has left the company.
Before joining La-Z-Boy, Bacon was executive vice president of sales, commercial and operations for Pep Boys, responsible for the company’s 593 stores.
The La-Z-Boy retail segment comprises 69 company-owned La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, out of a total of 333 La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries across North America.
