American Furniture Hall of Fame Announces Candidates for Induction

HIGH POINT, N.C.–Nominees for election into the American Furniture Hall of Fame have been named, and finalists will be officially inducted into the hall at a gala celebration during High Point Market on Oct. 21.
“This year, seven individuals have been nominated by their peers as leaders who have had a remarkable impact on the furniture industry,” said Donald Belgrad, president of the American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation Inc. “Each inspires us with their leadership, service and integrity.”
The seven nominees are Alfred J. Audi, former owner of L. & J.G. Stickley; Wogan Stanhope Badcock Jr., former president of W.S. Badcock Corp.; Howard G. Haas, former chief executive officer of Sealy; Simon Kaplan, founder of Crest Furniture; K. Bruce Lauritsen, former president of Flexsteel Industries; Pasquale Natuzzi, founder and chairman of the Natuzzi Group; and Adrian M. Pearsall, founder of Craft Associates.
