Rizzy Home has started 2011 with the addition of its first rug license—with Waverly—as well as a new showroom in 7 West 34 Street, in suite #733.

The Waverly line initially consists of about 15 to 20 wool-tufted rug designs, another 15 to 20 hooked patterns made of polypropylene and wool and then about a dozen printed nylon rugs, said Mark Ferullo, vice president. The rugs will be produced in India, China and the U.S. The collection targets department and specialty stores, and will be in stock in July.

“We feel our product mix, manufacturing capabilities and local distribution will be a benefit as retailers are looking to create programs that will capitalize on our vertically integrated facilities,” Ferullo said. The company owns its factory in India, where it can produce both hand-made and, since last year, machine-made rugs.
