DALTON, Ga.–Oriental Weavers USA has expanded into the accent rug category with its launch this week of its ACCENTuate program. Debuting at the New York Home Fashions Market, the new program will include a wide assortment of tufted, printed, woven, hooked and hand-carved washable scatter rugs.
“We are truly excited to be launching this category in typical OW fashion in New York this market,” said Michael Riley, president, Oriental Weavers USA. “We have had a great deal of input from our customers around the country, which was the basis of development for the ACCENTuate program. Their feedback pushed our product design team to achieve new fashion heights for the accent and scatter rug category.”
Three qualities of accent rugs will be offered: printed, hand hooked and machine tufted. Printed scatter rugs will have 11 machine-washable qualities with such bases as textural cut and loop, cut pile, sisal looks and hand carved effects. The hand-hooked rug designs will include classic motifs to transitional looks, while the machine tufted rugs will include both solid and multi-colored options.
Sizes will begin at 20-by-34 inches up through room sizes.
