HOLLYWOOD, Calif.–Nourison’s Camilla rug, from the Loom Select Collection, will be featured in the Architectural Digest green room at the 80th Annual Academy Awards. Loom Select is part of the company’s Calvin Klein Home Collection.
The choice was made by AD 100 interior designer Carleton Varney, president of Dorothy Draper & Co., who will create the signature space for AD at the Oscars. Varney’s inspiration for the green room comes from Draper’s own work, specifically the Arrowhead Springs Resort in Southern California and her sketches for the Beverly Hills Hotel. Varney said he wanted his design to recall the golden age of Hollywood.
The Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood & Highland Center. The show will be televised at 8 p.m. on ABC.
