LAS VEGAS–The upcoming Las Vegas Market will feature more than 100 new exhibiting companies, according to a statement from the World Market Center.
Among the companies new to this market are Thomasville, Drexel Heritage, Henredon and Maitland-Smith, all divisions of Furniture Brands International; Hammary Furniture; and Taylor King. The first-time permanent exhibitors at the Las Vegas Design Center include Pearson Co., Alexander’s Collection and Jordan Spencer. Laura Ashley Candles & Home Fragrances, C&F Enterprises, Blissliving Home and Wildwood will be among the gift, home-accessories and lighting companies that will also be exhibiting for the first time at the upcoming market.
The show will also include a series of seminars on business survival, which will take place from Feb. 9-11. The seminar topics include retail marketing and sales, trends in home entertainment and home office furnishings and legal issues involved in knockoffs. Roundtable discussions on the prospects for 2009 and gift retailing are also scheduled.
