CARLSTADT, N.J.-Momeni has moved its corporate offices and primary showroom to a 50,000-square-foot space here. The company had been headquartered in Manhattan since 1975.

The new space, which more than doubles the square footage Momeni filled in New York, will operate as both the company's executive offices and distribution center, with one-of-a-kind rugs distributed from here and Momeni's programmed rugs continuing to be distributed from its Atlanta warehouse.

Company President Reza Momeni said the company outgrew its space in Manhattan, and "needed more space and more efficient methods of warehousing and shipping our growing assortment of one-of-a-kind rugs." The family-run business was also looking for more room for "displaying our expanding programmed offering," Reza Momeni said. In fact, 15,000 square feet at the new location will be devoted to showroom space.

The company said the location should be a convenient one for its customers as it is both near to Manhattan and to the ORICA building in Seacaucus, N.J., which houses many other Oriental rug importing companies. It also leaves opportunity to keep expanding without having to move again any time soon.

"With the move, our office staff gains the space they need now, while also planning for future growth," Reza Momeni said.

Momeni's new address is 60 Broad St., Carlstadt, N.J., 07072. The company's 800 number, e-mail addresses and Web site information remain the same. Momeni also operates permanent showrooms in Atlanta; High Point, N.C.'; and Las Vegas. -- Jennifer Quail
