Loloi Looks For More

The past five years for the fledgling Loloi Rugs has been characterized by its growth and quick success, said Amir Loloi, president. The future, he adds, holds more of the same.
In a time marred by cutbacks and choked spending in nearly every sector, Loloi is moving ahead full force with the launch of several new collections and an expanded Atlanta AmericasMart showroom that the company will debut this month.
“From our staff to our warehouse operation, we’ve grown in all facets of our company,” Loloi said.
The company started with a few employees and a limited collection of rugs. The staff now numbers nearly 60 and the line of rugs continues to grow.
Loloi said one thing that has not changed, however, is the philosophy on which the company was based and founded.
“We are resolute in our emphasis on exceptional customer service and unprecedented value,” Loloi said. “We are really proud to have kept this philosophy in mind as we face changes and additional growth.”
He said the company’s core strengths to date are its creativity and emphasis on value. Beautiful design at affordable prices and bringing new product to the market top the company’s priorities, Loloi added. The company’s emphasis on value, extends to its approach to customer service, as well.
Loloi has his sights set on further expansion over the next few years and is not discouraged by the current economic climate.
“While the economic environment clearly is not how we would like it to be, we see the current landscape as an opportunity to expand our market share,” he explained. “While other companies may be cutting back in light of economic news, we are still spending in the key areas that we believe will make us ready to capitalize on better times ahead.”
In the meantime, Loloi has plenty to celebrate at this week’s Atlanta market—a successful first five years, a bright future and a major showroom expansion—and celebrate it will during the week, serving lunch and hors d’oeuvres throughout. — Jennifer Alexis
