Homefires Gets a Jump on the Holidays

ATLANTA–Following a successful pre-booking program last spring, Homefires is offering the same early-look option to its customers for the upcoming holiday season.
The Holiday PreBook program offers retailers an early glimpse of the company’s new Christmas designs, coupled with free merchandise incentives for ordering early. Twenty-four holiday designs, under the company’s Carefree label, are scheduled to be available for the program.
“Learning early what the retailers’ needs will be allowed us to be proactive on inventory levels,” said Rusty Boone, vice president of marketing and sales, of the company’s Spring PreBook program. “Consequently, shipping during the first and second quarters of 2008 has been steady.” As such, Boone said the company “will continue to employ the PreBook program strategy whenever possible.”
The Carefree accent rugs are made with acrylic fibers and a machine-washable backing. The new lineup includes designs from Jennifer Brinley, Helen Vladykina and Sally Stenson.
