ATLANTA - Shaw's eco-friendly Epic hardwood is featured in one of three show homes built here by Traditional Home magazine.
Now open for tours, the trio of townhomes was created to bring the ideas and inspiration of the magazine's pages to life. Each of the three homes was designed to fit the profile of today' modern, affluent woman based on the magazine's 2006 research.
The Shaw Epic Wellington flooring is featured in the townhome designed to represent a woman the magazine has labeled a 'standout.' Traditional Home defines this type of consumer as a single, professional woman who looks literally to stand out, and who is all about personal style and a high quality of life.
Scott Sandlin, vice president of hard surface development for Shaw, said the company recommended Epic hardwood because "it is both beautiful and easy to work with. Most importantly," he added, "this type of product demonstrates to the consumer that she doesn't have to sacrifice style to have an environmentally friendly floor."
In fact, Epic originates from managed forests and incorporates the company's EnviroCore' a dense inner layer composed of wood fiber that is created in the manufacture of other products. The flooring line falls under the company's growing Shaw Green Edge umbrella.
