Charlotte Moss Closes NYC Store

NEW YORK–Interior designer Charlotte Moss will close her New York retail store at the end of October, the company said. However, the other parts of her business, including interior design, licensing and retailing, will continue on her Web site.
“This was a very difficult decision based on personal considerations,” Moss said about the closing in a statement. “The interest in the store was gratifying, yet the demands of the boutique while maintaining my interior design practice, licensing product and other aspects of my business were crowding out all other facets of my life—for myself, my family, my philanthropic and community work.”
She continued, “Managing a retail store, which I have done before, but on a much smaller scale, resulted in a major lifestyle epiphany about the things that are really important to me. When you have regrets about what didn’t get done, the way you wanted it to get done but didn’t—then something has to change.”
Moss currently has licensing agreements with Agraria, Pickard and Stark Carpet.
