Vendors to Roll out the Red Carpet at High Point Market

       

       

HIGH POINT, N.C.–High Point attendees shopping for rugs will not go hungry next month. Many manufacturers will demonstrate their hospitality with offers of food and beverages throughout the show. Saturday, Oct. 13:
10:30 a.m.: The Powell Company will have a ribbon cutting for its new Bombay-licensed collections of rugs, furniture and accessories. National Furniture Mart, 100

4:30-6 p.m.: Liora Manné and Trans-Ocean will offer buyers margaritas in their showrooms. IHFC, Green Wing, G367 and G365

Sunday, Oct. 14:
11 a.m.-3 p.m.: MAT The Basics will offer a complimentary lunch with authentic Indian cuisine. 220 Elm Street, #304

Noon to 1 p.m.: Loloi will present a “Rugs 101” seminar on the basics of rugs, presented by Loloi’s Cyrus Loloi, Cherisse Jensen and Emily Lancaster. Lunch and seminar are free of charge, though reservations are recommended (RSVP to lchastain@imcenters.com). IHFC, Green Wing, 11th floor, Ballroom B.

4:30-6 p.m.: Liora Manné and Trans-Ocean will offer buyers margaritas in their showrooms. IHFC, Green Wing, G367 and G365

5-10 p.m.: Surya will host a Masquerade party in its showroom, as well as offer buyers breakfast, lunch and hors d’oeuvres every day of market. Showplace, #4100

6:30-9 p.m.: Bidazzled live auction and cocktail party, hosted by Market Square and Antique & Design Center. Donated antiques, home furnishings and objets d’art from A&DC and IMC exhibitors will be on display Friday through Sunday at the Antique & Design Center. Monday, Oct. 15:
4-6 p.m.: Nourison will host a reception for designer Barclay Butera, who will debut his new products with the company. IHFC, InterHall, IH101

5-10 p.m.: Linon will host a Greek-themed party, with Greek food, cheeses and wine, as well as international music, dancing and plate breaking. 220 Elm Street, #216

7-9 p.m.: Accessories Resource Team will premiere Local ART, a fundraiser benefiting ART’s educational programming with food from regional food trucks, organically grown wine from Benjamin Vineyards and Winery, beer from Greensboro’s Natty Greene’s and music. Tickets cost $10 per person. Held in the event space between Showplace and IHFC.

Tuesday, Oct. 16:
5-8 p.m.: Feizy will host an Oktoberfest-themed party with such authentic German food as bratwurst, mini-reuben sandwiches and German potato salad, along with German beer and music. There will also be giveaways for attendees. Market Square, space 145
