NEW YORK–With its next show less than two months away—Sept. 9-11, 2012—the New York International Carpet Show currently has 31 companies slated to exhibit, including 10 first-timers: Amici, Aminco, Concepts International, Endless Knot, Gary Cruz Studio, Kalaty, Obeetee, Revita Rugs, Sultanhan and Tissage. The show features high-end, handmade Oriental carpets for attendees, which include rug and home furnishings retailers, designers and more.
“Beautiful carpets are an essential foundation in high-end residential, office and hospitality interiors,” said Dennis Dodds, founder and owner of the show. “They establish a ‘signature’ look and are basic tools in the hands of creative consumers, designers and architects.”
“Our artisan carpet makers face the challenges of the furniture with innovative ideas and confidence,” he continued. In addition, the location “is a good fit that elevates the brands of our vendors and extends our reach into a larger and more varies pool of buyers.”
Located at 7 West 34th street, the show will be open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday. There will be a sponsored reception at the show on Monday, from 3-5 p.m.
