Process Unlimited to Debut New Collection at NY International Carpet Show

Process Unlimited

A design in Process Unlimited’s Virtù collection

NEW YORK–For the New York International Carpet Show next month, Oct. 6-8, Process Unlimited will debut Virtù, a collection of eight digitally conceived hand-knotted Tibetan wool rugs designed by David Shaw Nicholls.

Inspired by classic Persian carpets and with Italian Renaissance flair, the 120-knot, 9-by-12 rugs are the result of original digital art converted into pixilated textiles in a labor-intensive process.

The company said new techniques had to be developed to realize these elaborate and myriad-hued designs.

Process Unlimited will be exhibiting during the show at the Metropolitan Pavilion.
