Nourison and kathy ireland Worldwide Ink New Licensing Deal

       

       

HIGH POINT, N.C.–Nourison and kathy ireland Worldwide have teamed up to create a new collection of decorative accessories, the first items of which have debuted at this High Point Market as a soft launch.
 
About 30 patterns were shown at High Point, with the official launch scheduled for next October. Patterns included a power-loomed, plush frisee shag called El Palicio, a power-loomed high/low viscose design called Versaille and Ireland’s first handmade offering, a handtufted acrylic/viscose cut and loop called Mission Craft.
 
“I’ve had my eye on Nourison for many, many years,” Ireland told HFN. Nourison is known for “fashion, innovation and quality—those elements are exciting to  me.”
 
Nourison and Ireland “have the same philosophy,” Alex Peykar, principal, Nourison, told HFN. She’s a “perfect fit” among Nourison’s designer portfolio, which includes Calvin Klein and Barclay Butera, and there’s no overlap; each one is distinct in its own way. With Ireland, “we’re addressing a different look, it’s fresh and unique.” It’s also “the fastest creation of a brand we’ve ever done,” as the agreement wasn’t signed until just recently.
 
In addition, Ireland’s other brand partners are “excited about it,” Ireland said. “They get it.” The products together are not “matchy matchy” she said, but “there is seamless cohesion.”
