Inspired at ICFF

The International Contemporary Furniture Fair is always good for finding the unexpected and inspirational, and the most recent show did not disappoint. Designers and companies from all over the world descended on New York in May to debut their latest in contemporary home furnishings. Here are only a few of the fun and functional items HFN saw there. —Andrea Lillo

Biegert & Funk expanded its QlockTwo line of clocks, which spell out the time in words, with the tabletop QlockTwo Touch. It’s available in seven colors and 12 languages, and includes an alarm function. qlocktwo.com

A more “Flintstones-esque” version of Castiglioni’s iconic floor lamp, the Castigliosaurus floor lamp is handmade in Mexico from handcast, handglazed ceramic vertebrae and handcarved volcanic rock.

Warp & Weft’s Drift design in light blue was inspired by Gerhard Richter’s abstract paintings. Its weave is around 200 knots per square inch and the pile is sheared very low for a sophisticated look. warpandweft.com
