Designer Angelo Surmelis officially signed with AF Lighting. The company’s showroom staff wore fedoras to celebrate. The new licensed lighting collection will launch at Las Vegas Market in 2013 … The Phillips Collection showed the initial start of its new furniture line with Broken Line Design, a Brooklyn-based architecture and fine art design team. This is the team’s first foray into furniture, and is more economical than the rest of the Phillips Collection, said Jason Phillips, designer, as it targets a younger audience … Capel expanded its indoor/outdoor rug offerings with Thailand, an olefin group of three patterns, each in two colorways. Made in Belgium, the line has an aggressive price point, said Tami Watras, vice-president, product and creative director … Adesso had a large introduction for this market, showing in its new showroom in Building A. New items include the Marvin lighted accent tables, named for retail veteran Marvin Traub, who recently passed away, and Brookfield, a floor lamp with a mercury glass shade … Cyan Design debuted its new seating category, showing stand-alone chairs in a variety of colors and textures.
Lexington introduced La Tourelle, with a French look of casual sophistication. The collection’s neutral color story features layers of texture and patterns … Powell brought over 100 new intros to market, including a well-received mirrored buffet. The company will show items from its recently announced Bombay partnership at the next High Point Market … Palecek has teamed with Jeffrey Alan Marks, who has designed two furniture collections that the company will unveil in High Point … Palliser showed its new My Comfort brand, including sofa beds and gliders featuring transitional styles and smaller silhouettes … Twin-Star International rolled out a line of consoles and end tables with iPod compatibility.
