HIGH POINT, N.C.–The High Point Market has been true to form with something new for just about every taste and style.
 
“The Good Wife” licensed line of accessories, lighting and accent furniture debuted at Interlude Home. The items in the line are seen on the popular CBS show, such as Eli’s zodiac figures or Alicia’s decorative boxes … Jaipur jumped into the accent rug category at market with a naturals group in four color stories. Made of jute, hemp and cotton chenille, “it’s all about texture,” said Kavita Chaudhary, design director. “It’s all about how the material feels.” A coordinating pillow collection accompanies the group … ELK almost doubled its HGTV line of lighting this market, adding items with color as well as ones with more height and width. In addition, in its Sterling division, the company debuted its first accent furniture collection from Indonesia, made of solid mahogany … Decor-Rest Furniture added slipcovers to its offerings.
 
Now one year old, the Genevieve Gorder line at Capel added two new designs: The Greek, in four colorways, and L’Alhambra, in three colors and the line’s first three-color design. And more flatweaves are in store come April. Capel also created a custom area, where dealers can work hands-on with rug samples and fabric … The HGTV Furniture collection was updated with new accent pieces, new upholstery options and a French-influenced collection called Modern Heritage. … At Rizzy Rugs, not only was the Vicki Payne line new, but so was the construction: a hooked and cut pile with twisted wool. The designs in the line were based on Payne’s fabric designs, and as most of them are two to four colors, “the hooked background makes the design stand out,” said Al Mortensen director of creative and design. It was a “perfect opportunity.” … Surya debuted its new collection with textile designer Beth Lacefield, in flatweaves, poufs and pillows. They are all based on classical designs, and then she “juices them up,” said Amy Archer, Surya’s new director of product development … La-Z-Boy added memory foam to its sleeper sofas and recliners. The company also unveiled an renovated showroom … Nourison expanded several of its licensed collections, including additions to Barclay Butera, Joseph Abboud and the recently unveiled Waverly. The new Kaleidoscope group from Butera’s line, for example, is a red, white and blue story that includes ikat, animal skin and Greek key designs.
