LAS VEGAS—Dana Andrew, vice president of International Market Center’s global marketing & communications team, is leaving the organization on April 19. She is relocating to northern California to be closer to family, according to IMC, but said she will continue collaborating with IMC as a senior marketing and communications advisor as well as work on new initiatives.
Several organizational changes will be made to accommodate Andrew’s departure and new role, said Bob Maricich, CEO, IMC. Andrew, who has been with World Market Center and now International Market Centers for more than 10 years, has been responsible for the marketing plans for both IMC’s High Point and Las Vegas markets and for both home furnishings and gift/home decor.
“Dana has played an integral role at World Market Center since its inception over 10 years ago,” Maricich said. “Under her tenure, from the ground up, she established and oversaw all marketing and public relations strategy for the Las Vegas Market as well as produced game-changing marketing initiatives and market events. We look forward to a continuing successful collaboration, and at the same time are excited for Dana in her new platform and expanded horizon of creative opportunities.”
“Having been on the ground floor of something so transformative for the home furnishings industry, and a project that reenergized downtown Las Vegas, I acknowledge the amazing advantage of timing when I met the visionary founders of World Market Center 13 years ago,” Andrew said in an email. “They placed their faith in me to lead the marketing of this world-class enterprise and to launch Las Vegas Market in 2005—and it’s truly been my privilege to work alongside them, the talented team they assembled and our dynamic partners.”
In addition to her continued collaboration with IMC, Andrew said she plans to establish her own marketing firm in the San Francisco Bay Area.
