CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Interior designer Alexa Hampton and motivational speaker Roy Spence will be among the speakers at ART’s 2013 conference, to be held May 7-10, 2013, at the Palms Hotel and Spa in Miami. ART is the home accents organization for the industry.
Hampton, a recent winner of World Market Center Las Vegas’ Design Icon award and from the firm Mark Hampton, LLC, will talk about “The Language of Interior Design.” Hampton has design licenses with Kravet, Stark Carpets, Hickory Chair, Chesney’s and Visual Comfort & Co., and her work is often featured in shelter magazines.
Roy Spence is the founder, chairman and CEO of GSD&M Idea City and The Purpose Institute and will present “Why Every Extraordinary Business is Driven by Purpose.” Spence’s GSD&M Idea City is a national marketing communications and advertising company that has worked with such successful brands as Southwest Airlines, Mastercard and BMW.
The conference will begin with a dinner presentation by ART’s charity partner, Dwell with Dignity, on Tuesday, May, 7, and will feature eight speakers and workshop leaders before ending with a dinner celebration on Thursday, May 9. The conference—ART’s 21st—is structured to include business, motivational, home trend and design presenters along with interactive workshops.
