ROSEVILLE, Calif.—The Western Home Furnishings Association Conference & Expo has been scheduled for May 17 to May 19 at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa in Hawaii.
The association, the western affiliate of the National Home Furnishings Association, has scheduled 12 educational sessions for the three day conference. Topics include generating more revenues and a positive attitude in a challenging economy; using the Internet to drive store profits, manage people and maximize sales; and others. The opening session is titled “How to Succeed, Stay Sane and Have Fun at Work: a Survival Guide for the Retail Weary,” and will show how to shift attitudes caused by business stresses and create a more positive work environment.
WHFA has added the EXpresso Expo to the agenda for this year’s conference as well. This is a series of 20-minute sessions on advertising, marketing, technology and operations. Retailer-to-retailer roundtable discussions have also been scheduled.
