CAMBRIDGE, Ontario–Natura World has purchased NexGel, a manufacturer of gel mattresses, and said it plans to expand in the category throughout North America.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. NexGel’s mattresses are made with the trademarked Ortho-Gel technology, which involves a honeycomb of hollow columns made with a rubberlike material. According to a statement from Natura World, these columns buckle or get out of the way for high pressure-point areas of the body such as the shoulders and hips, and ergonomically support lighter areas such as the thighs and lower back.
Ralph Rossdeutscher, president of Natura World, said this technology aligns with the company’s mission statement, which is “to help our customers achieve a superior night’s sleep, alleviate pain and increase comfort through unique and exceptional sleep systems that aid overall health and well-being.”
