NEW YORK–Patsy Pollack, the new executive vice president of merchandising for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, will help the Martha brand meet its potential to be “the largest home brand in the world,” Robin Marino, president of merchandising and co-chief executive officer of MSLO, told HFN.
Marino tapped the former Donna Karan Home chief executive officer for this newly created position. She will report to Marino.
“We have a tremendous opportunity to light up the globe with everything Martha Stewart,” Marino said. “Patsy will certainly play a major role in that.”
Pollack will oversee the Martha Stewart Collection that’s exclusive to Macy’s, the Martha Stewart Everyday home line at Kmart, as well as MSLO’s portfolio of home decorating programs, which includes Martha Stewart furniture with Bernhardt, Martha Stewart rugs with Safavieh, Martha Stewart lighting with Generation Brands, Martha Stewart floor designs with FLOR and Martha Stewart-created KB Homes.
Pollack joins MSLO from Donna Karan Home. Prior posts include president of Calvin Klein Home and vice president of licensing and marketing for high-end fabric resource F. Schumacher & Co. She also previously held senior managerial posts at textiles mill Fieldcrest Cannon.
“Pollack has a track record for really building designer brands,” Marino said.
“We’ve just begun to scratch the surface of what we’re doing at Macy’s. Our eye is very focused on the prize.”
In the past two years, MSLO has boldly expanded its merchandising programs, adding more than a dozen new partnerships.
In June, Marino, then president of merchandising for MSLO, and Wenda Harris Millard, then president of media, were named co-CEOs, succeeding Susan Lyne, who stepped down.
