NEW YORK–The Licensing International Expo will relocate to Las Vegas next year.
For the past 28 years, the expo has been held in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center here. The new home will be the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, which was chosen by the Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association, the show’s sponsor, and Advanstar Communications, its parent company, because of the opportunity it affords to expand the expo’s exhibit space and product categories. Rising costs and scarcity of hotel rooms here, along with booth setup costs at the Javits Center, were also cited as reasons.
Next year’s Licensing International Expo will take place from June 2 to 4. The Mandalay Bay Convention Center has 1.5 million square feet of exhibit and meeting space.
