OMAHA, Neb.-Johanna Lewis, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of Gordmans, has resigned effective immediately, according to an 8-K filing from the specialty retailer.
The filing went on to say that Michael Morand, executive vice president or planning, allocation and analysis, has assumed Lewis’ merchandising responsibilities on an interim basis. Speaking on Wednesday at the ICR XChange Conference, Jeff Gordman, president and CEO, said Gordmans’ long-term plan is to combine the planning and allocation functions with merchandising.
Lewis joined Gordmans in 2009 as vice president and chief merchandising officer. Prior to coming on board, she served in top-level merchandising positions with Macy’s, Marshall Fields, Belk, Sears and Dillard’s.
Morand has been with Gordmans since 2007, joining the company at that time as director of planning, allocation and analysis. Before joining Gordmans, he held senior merchandising, planning, allocation and marketing positions with May Dept. Stores Co. and Lord & Taylor.
