CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.–Several Ikea products have won the retailer its first Good Housekeeping Seals, which are awarded after undergoing evaluations from scientists and engineers at The Good Housekeeping Research Institute (GHRI).
The Framtid range, the Nutid refrigerator and the Renlig dishwasher have all received the Seal so far.
Ikea will also join the GHRI on Tour, an interactive, traveling exhibit kicking off Sept. 26 in Tampa, Fla., to celebrate 100 years of the Seal. The tour will stop at 11 cities across the U.S. and give visitors hands-on access to a fully constructed Ikea kitchen that showcases the products that have earned the seal.
“Ikea knows the kitchen is the center of activity in the home, and offers solutions to meet a variety of customer needs, including organization, functionality and style, all at a low price,” said Raymond Simanavicius, marketing project manager, Ikea U.S. “We are honored to have earned the prestigious Good Housekeeping Seal and are happy to showcase some of our best kitchen products to consumers as part of the tour.”
