NEW YORK–Kenneth Hall has been appointed chief executive officer of NexCen Brands, the parent company of the Waverly home-textiles label.
Hall succeeds Robert D’Loren, who has resigned as both CEO and as a member of the NexCen board of directors. Before being named to his new post, Hall was the company’s executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. David Oros, NexCen’s chairman, credited Hall for his role in restructuring the company’s financing arrangements. NexCen has been working with BTMU Capital Corp., its lender, toward an overall restructuring of its loan facility.
One of Hall’s chief responsibilities as CEO, Oros said, will be to lead NexCen in carrying out its business restructuring plan, which was initiated in May and is intended to focus the company on its franchising business. Meanwhile, NexCen has begun a search for a new chief financial officer.
Hall’s career includes executive positions with Seevast Corp., Global DirectMail, Icon CMT, the National Football League and Mercator Software.
