Chandler Tabbed as Belk EVP of Operations

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Belk has named Mark Chandler executive vice president of operations.
Reporting to Johnny Belk, president and chief operating officer, Chandler has assumed responsibility over the retailer’s supply-chain, inventory-management, strategic-sourcing and overall retail operations. He has succeeded Ron Shealy, who retired earlier this year.
Before joining Belk, Chandler was senior vice president of supply chain for Price Chopper Supermarkets/Golub Corp. He also held executive positions with Kurt Salmon Associates in its grocery and consumer-packaged-goods division, and with Exxon as information technology systems manager, retail district manager and retail/wholesale pricing director.
